Why It Matters

Never Let a Damaged Flag Fly

As per the Flag Code of India, a torn, faded or damaged National Flag should never continue to be flown, and it must never be thrown away with ordinary waste. It has to be destroyed as a whole, in private, in a way that preserves its dignity.

Most citizens want to do the right thing but simply don't know what that is. Our Flag Exchange programme removes the guesswork — hand us the old flag, receive a fresh BIS-certified one, and we take care of the retirement exactly as the Code requires.
